Valley Tile & Plumbing remodels bathrooms in Northridge, Porter Ranch, Granada Hills and Chatsworth. We're a small, owner-operated tile and plumbing contractor, licensed in California for tile and stone (C-54), plumbing (C-36) and cabinetry and carpentry (C-6), License #990845. Bryan Blair has been setting tile since 1983 and came to the San Fernando Valley after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. When you call, you talk to the person who will be working on your bathroom.
Why a mortar-bed shower?
Most showers fail because water gets behind the tile. We build showers the traditional way: a sloped mortar bed (also called mud-set or floated), a waterproof shower pan that is flood-tested before any tile goes on, and walls built to stay square and solid. It takes longer than glue-up systems or one-day liners, and it lasts.
What a bathroom remodel with us includes
Tear-out down to the studs and subfloor, so old leaks, rot and bad plumbing get found and fixed.
Plumbing work: new valves, drains and supply lines, and moving fixtures. We're licensed plumbers too.
Mortar-bed shower floors and walls, benches, niches and curbs.
Walk-in showers, tub-to-shower conversions and tub surrounds.
Tile and stone floors, including heated floors.
Vanity and cabinet installation.
Your tile or ours. We install materials we supply or the ones you've already picked out, and we'll tell you honestly if a tile won't hold up where you want it.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Northridge?
It depends on the size of the room, the shower and the tile you choose. Our full price list is published on this website, and every estimate is built line by line from it, so you can check our numbers. No sales pitch and no pressure.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most full bathrooms take a few weeks. Mortar beds need time to cure, and we don't rush that step. You'll get a schedule with your estimate.
Do I need a permit?
Yes. A bathroom remodel in Los Angeles needs a city permit, and we pull it on every job. The city inspects the work, including the shower pan before any tile goes on. Skipping the permit can cause real trouble later, when you sell the house or file an insurance claim.
Can you fix a leaking shower without a full remodel?
Often, yes. See our Shower Leak Repair page. If the damage goes further, we'll show you what we found and talk it over before doing more.
Why call a contractor directly instead of using a lead website?
When you fill out a form on a lead website, your information is often sent to several contractors at once. With us it's one call, one estimate, and one licensed contractor responsible for both the tile and the plumbing.
